In a 19 to 4 votes, 1 abstention, Senator Rodante Marcoleta’s amended ‘motion to dismiss’ to ‘motion to archive’ the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte gained the support of the majority of the senators.  

Senators said they are following the Supreme Court's ruling on the impeachment article, which the Court reaffirmed as "immediately executory."
