The wait is finally over! Taylor is giving us pop-vibe music again - The Life of a Showgirl era is now here (Oct. 3, 2025).
Taylor Swift announced her 12th studio album on August 12, 2025. She was working on that album when she was in Europe during the Eras Tour, she said on the New Heights, a sports podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce.
The Eldest Daughter (4:10) is the longest track on the album, while the Wood (2:35) is the shortest.
Aside from the creation of the music, the CDs and Vinyls were crafted with passion and effort, as the singer wants the fans to enjoy the new era. Here are the following statements she disclosed on a video released by @taylornation on IG:
“I’ve really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product, and the best packaging, the best CD experience that they could have.”
“So we've got the CDs all have photocards in them.”
“The vinyls, they each have a poem inside of them, a unique poem. They've got like more images than we ever planned to put in there. We chose this really high gloss finish,
which I've never done before and I think it looks so cool.”
“The vinyl packaging, the CD packaging, the photographs, the photo cards, it's all just something I'm very proud of and it took a lot of time to put together, a lot of concentration, a lot of organization but hopefully it pays off. I hope, I hope the fans are happy.”
She also thanked her collaborators, Max Martin and Shellback for helping her paint the “self portrait” album.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.” she posted on IG
Max Martin and Shellback are known as her long-time collaborators from the past 3 albums - Red, 1989, and Reputation.
