In a stunning display of skill and determination, the BFP Lady Firefighters have defied all expectations, punched their ticket to the UNTV Volleyball League Season 3 Finals, and proved they’re now one of the top teams to beat in the league. Their journey to the championship round has been marked by an unyielding spirit, clutch performances, and a team dynamic that has systematically dismantled the formidable defending champion, AFP Lady Gunnar, in the semifinals.
As the UVL Season 3 Finals draw near, anticipation is palpable, and the Lady Firefighters are widely expected to perform at the highest level and be full of surprises.
Jane Romo, import and middle hitter of the BFP Volleyball team, described their journey as tough and challenging due to some injuries that happened along the way and adjustments they made to fulfill each of their roles.
“Sobrang naging challenging sa amin kasi noong first round nagkaroon kami ng mga minor injuries but then nag-focus pa din kami sa kung sino ipapalit,” Jane Romo said.
Romo also hinted that they will have a surprise when it comes to the level of game they will be giving to their opponents, promising a greater and bolder team to play in the Finals.
“Surprise! Syempre meron tayong pa-surprise sa championship and babalik kaming malakas talaga,” she added.
Coaches and analysts alike are pointing to their exceptional team chemistry and mental fortitude as key factors that will enable them to rise to the championship showdown. The entire Bureau of Fire Protection is rallying behind the Lady Firefighters, eagerly awaiting what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to their Cinderella story, as they aim to etch their names into UVL history with a championship title.
The championship showdown will feature the hungry returning PNP Lady Patrollers in the Finals and a robust and determined group of BFP Lady Firefighters this June 18, 2025, for Game 1 at the Paco Arena, Manila.
