A father’s touching gesture during a donation drive in Cebu has gone viral, warming the hearts of netizens across the country.

According to Jennivieve Caminero of Rotary District 3860, while they were conducting a donation drive for earthquake victims in Cebu, a father quietly approached their booth. To their surprise, he reached into his pocket and handed over a few coins—₱19 in total.

Jennivieve shared how deeply moved they were by his act. “He asked if he could donate. Then he pulled out ₱19. We were really crying when we shared it with the rest of our Rotarians. We believe it’s everything he had because it wasn’t just in whole amounts like ₱5 or ₱10—it was ₱19 exactly,” she recalled.

Despite knowing that the man himself was struggling in life, he still chose to give what little he had to help others.

The father’s selfless deed quickly gained attention online, drawing thousands of likes and shares. Many netizens expressed admiration, saying that his act of kindness is a true reflection of love, compassion, and generosity.

“It’s really part of Tatay having a big heart. Thank you so much for inspiring us to do more,” Jennivieve added.

His simple donation—though small in amount—has made a big impact, reminding everyone that generosity is not measured by how much you give, but by the love and sincerity behind it.
